1. Purpose and Scope

This Code of Conduct describes the behaviour we expect from everyone who takes part in the Uniqcret community. Its purpose is to keep our platform a respectful, professional, and evidence-based space for clinicians, researchers, medical students, and the general public, in Thailand and worldwide.

This Code applies to all of your interactions with us and with others on our platform. This includes, but is not limited to:

Do not rely on it to diagnose or treat any condition without a qualified healthcare professional, and never act on it in place of professional judgment. This Code works together with our other terms and policies. Where this Code is stricter than the minimum required by law, the stricter standard applies on our platform. Nothing in this Code limits any rights you have under applicable Thai law, including the Personal Data Protection Act and consumer-protection law.

We expect every participant to act in a way that strengthens the community. In practice, this means you should:

• Stay on-topic. Keep your posts and comments relevant to the article, thread, or community space you are in.
• Give credit. Acknowledge the authors, studies, images, and tools you rely on, and do not pass off others' work as your own.
• Write clearly, in Thai or English — either is welcome. Aim to be understood by readers who may have different levels of medical training.
• Assume good faith and help newcomers. Many readers are students or members of the public who are still learning.

No unproven or dangerous claims as fact

Do not present unproven, fringe, or dangerous medical claims as established fact. Clearly distinguish opinion and hypothesis from evidence, and describe how strong the evidence is. Do not recommend treatments or practices that could foreseeably harm someone who follows them.

Protect patient privacy — never post patient-identifiable information

This is one of our most important rules. Never post patient-identifiable information or confidential clinical data. This includes names, hospital or record numbers, dates that could identify a person, faces, and any images, scans, or details from which a patient could be recognised, whether directly or by combining facts. If you discuss a real case, you must fully de-identify it and have any necessary consent. When in doubt, leave it out. Posts that risk identifying a patient will be removed, and you may be subject to further action under Section 9.

Disclose conflicts of interest

If you have a financial, commercial, or other interest that could reasonably affect how readers view your medical or research claims — for example, funding, employment, ownership, paid promotion, or a product you sell — disclose it clearly in your post. Do not use the community to promote a product, service, or interest while presenting it as neutral evidence.

Research integrity and intellectual property

• No plagiarism — do not copy others' words, figures, or ideas without proper attribution.
• No fabrication — do not invent data, results, references, or quotations.
• No falsification — do not alter or misrepresent data, methods, or findings.
• Respect copyright and licences — only post content you have the right to use, and follow the terms of any licence (for example, citing and linking as required).

The following are not allowed anywhere on the Uniqcret platform. This list is not exhaustive; we may act on other conduct that is clearly harmful or against the spirit of this Code.

• Spam, scams, pyramid or referral schemes, and unauthorised advertising or promotion.
• Illegal content, or content that promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
• Doxxing or violating others' privacy, including posting personal data or patient-identifiable information without authority.
• Impersonating another person, a healthcare professional, an institution, or Uniqcret.
• Uploading malware, or attempting to hack, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse or break the platform or its security.
• Sexually explicit content, or gratuitous graphic violence (legitimate clinical images posted for education, fully de-identified and in context, are not covered by this prohibition).
• Infringing intellectual property, including copyright, trademark, or licence terms.
• Posting NSFW or adult content in blog comments or community posts — sexually explicit, pornographic, obscene, or gratuitously violent material, or links to it.
• Adding links unrelated to the article — off-topic, advertising, referral/affiliate, or spam links in comments; any link you share must be relevant to the article being discussed.

6. AI-Generated Content Expectations

Our platform offers custom medical AI assistants ('Uniqcret's GPTs'), currently built on OpenAI's ChatGPT; other AI models may be added over time. You may also use other AI tools to help prepare what you post. AI can be useful, but it can also be wrong. The following rules apply.

• You are responsible for what you post, even if it was written or assisted by AI. 'The AI said so' is not an excuse.
• Verify AI output before relying on or sharing it. AI answers may be inaccurate, incomplete, or fabricated (including invented references), and must be independently checked against trustworthy sources.
• Disclose substantial AI generation where it is relevant to readers — for example, when a post or figure is largely AI-produced.
• Do not post low-effort, unchecked 'AI slop'. Content that is mass-generated, unverified, off-topic, or clearly not reviewed by a human may be declined or removed.

7. Submitting Content: Your Rights, Licence, and Eligibility

When you submit a post, comment, or other content to us, you keep ownership of your own work. To let us review, publish, and run the platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce, translate, edit for clarity and categorisation, and otherwise use your submission for operating and promoting the Uniqcret platform. This licence lasts for as long as needed to provide and maintain the service, and continues for copies kept for backup, legal, or record-keeping reasons after removal.

By submitting content, you confirm that you own it or are otherwise authorised to post it, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that it complies with this Code — including the patient-privacy, evidence, and intellectual-property standards above.

Age and eligibility

Our content is open to the general public, but submitting community posts and using login-gated features are intended for adults and for students who are old enough to take responsibility for what they share. If you are a minor under the law that applies to you, please use the platform with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and do not submit content or provide personal data without their consent. Where personal data of a minor is involved, we handle it in line with the PDPA, including any consent required from a parent or guardian.

8. Moderation and How Submissions Are Handled

Our community is curated. When a logged-in user submits a post, the operator personally reviews it before anything appears on the site. For each submission, the operator may:

The operator is not obligated to publish any submission and may decline or remove content at our discretion. Moderation decisions aim to keep the quality, accuracy, and safety of the platform high — for example, to enforce the patient-privacy and evidence standards above. Submitting a post does not guarantee that it will be published, kept online, or left unchanged.

If you see content or behaviour that breaks this Code, please tell us. The primary way to report a concern is through the live chat bubble at the bottom-right of www.uniqcret.com. The operator may add a contact email later; if so, it will be published on the website. When you report, it helps to include a link or description of the content, who is involved, and why you think it breaches this Code.

Because Uniqcret is run by an individual, reports are reviewed as soon as reasonably practicable. Reports involving patient-identifiable information, threats of harm, or other urgent safety issues are treated as a priority. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

10. Enforcement and Consequences

We enforce this Code to keep the community safe and useful. Depending on how serious or repeated a breach is, and the circumstances, the operator may take one or more of the following actions, generally on an escalating basis:

Serious breaches — such as posting patient-identifiable information, threats, or illegal content — may lead to immediate removal and suspension or termination without a prior warning. Enforcement action under this Code does not affect any other rights or remedies available to us or to those affected. If your paid access is suspended or terminated, any refund is handled under our Terms and applicable Thai consumer-protection law; this Code does not by itself decide your refund rights.

11. Appeals

If you believe a moderation or enforcement decision was a mistake, you may ask for it to be reconsidered. Contact us through the live chat on www.uniqcret.com, explain which decision you are appealing, and tell us why you think it should be changed. The operator will review your appeal and respond within a reasonable time. The operator's decision after review is final as a matter of platform moderation. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable law, including your rights under the PDPA and your ability to complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (the 'PDPC'), as well as any consumer-protection rights you may have in Thailand.

12. Privacy, Data Protection, and Governing Law

Personal data on our platform is governed by Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (the 'PDPA'), and the supervisory authority is the Personal Data Protection Committee (the 'PDPC'). When you post or report under this Code, handle others' personal data lawfully and respectfully, and never share personal or patient-identifiable information you are not authorised to share.

Our platform relies on third parties to operate, including site hosting and forms via Wix, AI features powered by OpenAI, and billing through third-party payment processors via the website; standard web analytics and cookies may also be used. How your information is handled is described in our privacy notice where available and in each provider's own terms; if you have questions, you can ask us through the chat on the website. This Code is governed by the laws of Thailand.

We may update this Code of Conduct from time to time, for example to reflect new features, community needs, or changes in the law. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and post the new version on this page. Your continued participation after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Code.
